19-Year-Old Shot, Flown to Shock Trauma After Cambridge Gunfire
Cambridge, MD - Cambridge police are investigating a shooting that sent a teenager to a Baltimore trauma center Tuesday afternoon.
On August 18, 2026 at approximately 1:12 p.m., the Cambridge Police Department received a ShotSpotter alert for multiple rounds of gunfire in the 400 block of Skinners Court. Officers responded to the area right away.
As officers arrived, they saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed toward the hospital from that area. Other units left the scene and followed the vehicle to Cambridge hospital.
Once at the hospital, officers learned a 19-year-old man inside the vehicle had been shot. He suffered gunshot wounds to his neck, torso, and arm.
The victim is being flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment. His condition has not been released.
