Ocean City, MD - Ocean City is about to become the center of the footvolley world. The town will host the 2026 Nations Cup, a four-day international beach sports event running from Thursday, July 30, through Sunday, August 2. Best of all, this event is completely free for spectators.

The event is presented by Ocean City Tourism and brings together national teams from six countries. Fans can expect high-level competition, professional youth clinics, and All-Star exhibitions all weekend long.

Six countries will battle it out for the championship title: the United States, Brazil, Spain, England, Argentina, and Mexico. The roster includes big names in the sport, like Team USA's Jonathan Silva and Brazil's Lucas "The Model" Paes.

The sport isn't just for the men, either. Women's All-Star exhibition matches will showcase elite professional players from Brazil, Southern California, and South Florida on Thursday and Friday.

Tournament organizers built in an exciting twist for the championship format. Teams will compete in full tournaments on both Saturday and Sunday. If one nation wins both days, they're crowned champion outright.

But if two different teams come out on top, things get even better. A winner-take-all "Grand Final" will be held immediately after Sunday's matches to crown the overall Nations Cup victor.

The event isn't just about elite competition. Free youth clinics will be held daily at noon on Thursday and Friday, giving young, aspiring athletes a chance to learn from the pros.

"The Nations Cup is about bringing together elite international athletes while giving families an unforgettable beach sports experience," said Sergio Menezes, Founder of the Pro Footvolley Tour. "Ocean City provides the perfect backdrop to showcase one of the world's fastest-growing beach sports."

Whether you're a footvolley fan or just curious to see the sport in action, Ocean City's beaches will be the place to be this summer. For full event schedules and tournament brackets, visit footvolley.net.
