Baltimore Mother Charged in her Infant’s Death Has Been Released on Unsecured Bond
State of MD - A Baltimore mother charged in the death of her 2-month-old son is out of jail without paying any money. If convicted, she could spend the rest of her life in prison.
Officers responded to Loch Raven Boulevard and Gorsuch Avenue for reports of an infant who was not breathing. The baby was taken to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics, where he was pronounced dead at 83 days old.
The medical examiner ruled his death was caused by head trauma, along with severe dehydration and malnutrition. Records show he gained just 50 grams during his entire life.
Taylor Williams was arrested on October 5, 2026 and charged with first-degree child abuse resulting in death.
Three days later, Judge Mark F. Scurti released her on a $100,000 unsecured bond, which means she paid nothing to get out of jail.
Williams is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on November 2, 2026.
