Cambridge Man Arrested on Assault, Theft and Drug Charges
Talbot County, MD - On Monday, October 5, 2026, deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office arrested a Cambridge man on a warrant. The man was identified as Lidwin Jeovany Torres-Garcia, 40, of Cambridge, MD. He faces several charges, including first-degree assault.
The warrant was issued that same day by the District Court for Talbot County. It charged Torres-Garcia with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, theft, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia.
When deputies took Torres-Garcia into custody, they searched him. During that search, deputies found a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
That discovery led to more charges against Torres-Garcia.
After the arrest, Torres-Garcia was taken to the Talbot County Central Booking facility. There, he was processed and had an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
