Cambridge Police Make Arrests Following Vehicle Pursuit and Unsanctioned Gathering
Cambridge, MD - The Cambridge Police Department responded to multiple incidents on the evening of April 10, 2026, following an unsanctioned pop-up event. The department was initially notified on April 9 about the planned gathering on the 1000 block of Cosby Avenue.
According to police, similar events in the past have placed significant pressure on law enforcement due to large crowds, disorderly activity, and violence. These gatherings are often promoted on social media and attract individuals from surrounding areas.
At approximately 11:25 p.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Hubert Street. The vehicle then traveled the wrong way on Park Lane.
Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver failed to stop and fled from officers, driving through multiple streets. The pursuit concluded in the area of Maces Lane and Robbins Street.
Officers noted the vehicle displayed Delaware license plates. The driver was identified as 23-year-old Alanna Marie Moore of Parsonsburg, Maryland. Police determined Moore did not possess a valid driver's license.
She also had an active bench warrant out of Worcester County, Maryland, for failing to appear in court for a previous driving without a license charge.
A K9 unit conducted a sniff of the vehicle and provided a positive alert. During a subsequent search, officers located Xanax inside the vehicle. Moore was transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing. She was then turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections and held on no bond.
Moore faces a lengthy list of traffic and criminal charges. These include attempting to elude uniformed police, reckless driving, negligent driving, and driving without a license. She was also charged with driving the wrong way on a one-way street, failing to drive right of center, unsafe lane changes, and five counts of failing to stop at a stop sign.
Additional citations include speeding to avoid a collision, failing to display a license and registration card, and driving in violation of a restricted license.
