Coastal Commercial Fisheries Forum Set for Sept. 18, 2026 in Berlin, Maryland

Worcester County, MD - The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Fishing and Boating Services is hosting an in-person Coastal Commercial Fisheries Forum. The event is set for Friday, September 18, 2026.

The forum will be held at the Worcester County Library, Berlin Branch, located at 13 Harrison Ave. It starts at 2:30 p.m.

These forums are open discussions. Community members can bring their own topics and give feedback directly to the department.

The department will also share updates from several partner agencies. That includes the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The agenda opens with welcomes, introductions, and announcements. From there, the meeting moves into regulatory updates from each of the three partner agencies.

Climate planning will also be discussed. The meeting will wrap up with other business, a look at upcoming meetings, and adjournment.

The forum is open to anyone interested in Maryland's commercial fishing industry. It offers a chance to hear directly from the department and have a say in the conversation.
