Cordova Woman Held After Missing Caroline County Court Date

Talbot County, MD - On Saturday, September 26, 2026, deputies with the Talbot County Sheriff's Office arrested a Cordova woman on a warrant out of Caroline County.

The woman was identified as Jennifer Romero-Martinez, 32, of Cordova, Maryland. She was taken into custody on the warrant.

The warrant was issued by the Caroline County District Court. According to the Sheriff's Office, it was issued because Romero-Martinez did not show up for a scheduled court hearing.

The hearing Romero-Martinez missed was tied to an original charge of driving without a license. That charge covers operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license.

After her arrest, deputies took Romero-Martinez to the Talbot County Central Booking facility. She was processed there and then went before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance.
