Delaware State Police Investigate Shots Fired in Middletown

State of DE - On August 25, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Delaware State Police troopers responded to the area of Marl Pit Road near Cedar Lane Road in Middletown for a report of shots fired.

Troopers arrived and found spent shell casings in the roadway. There are no reported injuries and no reports of property damage.

The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate the incident. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the event, or who has information that could help the case, to come forward.
