Easton Man Arrested on Probation Violation Warrant

Talbot County, MD - Deputies with the Talbot County Sheriff's Office arrested Merrit Dale Murphy Jr, 41, of Easton, MD, on August 31, 2026.

The arrest came after the Circuit Court for Dorchester County issued a warrant for Murphy on August 20, 2026.

The warrant charged Murphy with violation of probation. He was taken into custody by deputies and transported to the Dorchester County Detention Center.

Murphy is being held without bond. He will remain in custody until his hearing before a Circuit Court Judge.
