Easton, MD - An Easton man is facing multiple weapons charges after a reported road confrontation on May 17, 2026, that ended with officers finding a loaded handgun equipped with an illegal switch.

Officers with the Easton Police Department were called to the area of S. Harrison Street after a caller reported that a man had pointed a handgun at them. The caller gave police a detailed description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving.

Officers spotted the vehicle quickly and made a stop. During a search of the car, they found a loaded handgun inside the passenger compartment. The gun was fitted with a rapid fire trigger activator, commonly known as a switch.

Tra'zion Emory, 20, of Trappe, Maryland, was identified as the suspect. He was charged with Handgun in Vehicle, Loaded Handgun in Vehicle, and a Rapid Fire Trigger Activator Violation.

Emory was taken into custody and transferred to the Talbot County Detention Center. A District Court Commissioner initially ordered him held without bond.

The following day, however, Judge Karen Ketterman released Emory on a $10,000 unsecured personal bond. An unsecured bond means Emory was not required to pay anything upfront but would owe the $10,000 if he fails to appear in court.

The Easton Police Department has not released additional details about the reported confrontation on S. Harrison Street.
