Worcester County, MD - A free community health event is coming to Snow Hill next week, and it is packed with resources for people of all ages.

Worcester County Recreation & Parks is hosting the annual Coast Health & Wellness Fair on Wednesday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Worcester County Recreation Center in Snow Hill. The event is free and open to the public, made possible through a partnership with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield.

The fair is designed to give community members a convenient, one-stop opportunity to focus on their health during a midday break.

"Our annual fair is a resource-filled event dedicated to promoting health and wellness in our community," said WCRP Special Event Manager Kyle Jarmon. "The fair will feature over 30 health screenings, fitness demos, blood drive, healthy mind healthy body cooking demos, and much more all designed to inspire a healthier lifestyle."

Attendees can expect more than 35 vendors on site, along with community health partners including CareFirst and the Worcester County Health Department. A blood drive will also be available, organized through the Blood Bank of Delmarva.

One added benefit for those who need it: attendees who participate in one or more health screenings will receive signed notes from the providers. This is meant to make the event more accessible and useful for people with specific health needs.

The fair covers a wide range of topics and services, making it a good fit for just about anyone.

"Whether you're looking to learn more about nutrition, exercise, or medical options, the Coast Health & Wellness Fair has something for everyone," Jarmon said.

Last year's event brought together more than 30 health and wellness professionals and exhibitors, serving hundreds of residents and visitors. This year's fair aims to build on that strong foundation.
