Talbot County, MD - A federal grand jury has indicted a Maryland man on child sexual exploitation charges. The announcement came today from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland.

Timothy William Fish, 38, of McDaniel, faces charges of producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), distributing CSAM, and possessing CSAM.

U.S. Attorney Kelly O. Hayes announced the indictment alongside FBI Baltimore Field Office Special Agent in Charge Jimmy Paul, Talbot County State's Attorney Joseph Coale, and Talbot County Sheriff Joseph J. Gamble.

According to the indictment, Fish sexually exploited a minor between December 2024 and October 2025. He recorded her during video calls and also recorded himself with her during sexual acts.

Investigators say Fish distributed some of the images and videos over Snapchat. A search of his two cell phones turned up multiple images of the minor, along with other CSAM.

This case falls under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide effort the Department of Justice launched in May 2006. The initiative targets the growing problem of child sexual exploitation and abuse across the country.

Project Safe Childhood is led by U.S. Attorney's Offices working alongside the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section. Together, they bring federal, state, and local resources to bear on finding, arresting, and prosecuting people who exploit children, and on identifying and rescuing victims.

U.S. Attorney Hayes commended the FBI, the Talbot County State's Attorney's Office, and the Talbot County Sheriff's Office for their work on the investigation. She also thanked Assistant U.S. Attorney Colleen Elizabeth McGuinn, who is prosecuting the case.
