Milford Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Shawnee Road
Milford, DE - Milford Police are investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash that happened early Saturday morning. The crash claimed the life of a 26-year-old Harrington man.
The crash happened on June 20, 2026, at around 2:14 a.m. A 2010 Toyota Tacoma was heading eastbound on Shawnee Road at a high rate of speed.
For reasons that are still unknown, the truck left the roadway near the entrance to Cypress Hall Shopping Center. It struck an electrical pole and a tree before overturning several times.
The truck came to a final stop upside down in the retention pond at Cypress Hall Shopping Center. Milford Police officers and Carlisle Fire Company firefighters worked together to rescue the driver from the vehicle.
Officers and EMS crews performed life-saving measures on the driver at the scene. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The victim has been identified as Noah Bliss of Harrington. He was the truck's sole occupant.
Shawnee Road near Cypress Hall Shopping Center was closed for about three hours while police investigated the crash. That investigation is still ongoing.
