Missing Your Worcester County Tax Bill? Here's What to Do
Worcester County, MD - Some Worcester County property owners haven't received their 2026-2027 real estate tax bills in the mail yet. County officials are aware of the issue and are working to figure out what's causing the delay.
The good news is you don't have to wait on the mail to take care of your taxes. Your bill is likely already available online, and there are a few easy ways to get the information you need right now.
Just head to the Worcester County Government website at www.worcestermd.gov. From the homepage, click the "Taxes Online" icon to reach the Citizen Self Service portal. Select "Real Estate Taxes" from there, and you'll be able to view your account and pay electronically.
Prefer a paper copy? You can get one in person at either Treasurer's Office location in the county.
The Worcester County Government Center is located at 1 W. Market Street, Room 1105, in Snow Hill, Maryland. The Isle of Wight Center is at 13070 St. Martins Neck Road in Bishopville, Maryland.
Both offices are open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff at either location can help you get a printed copy of your bill if you need one.
If you have questions or just want some help finding your tax information, the Treasurer's Office is ready to assist. Give them a call at 410-632-0686, ext. 3, or send an email to askthetreasurer@worcestermd.gov.
Real estate taxes are due on time whether or not a bill shows up in your mailbox, so it's worth checking your account sooner rather than later. Taking a few minutes to look up your bill online or stop by an office can save you from any late fees down the road.
Worcester County officials say they're continuing to look into why some bills haven't arrived by mail. In the meantime, residents are encouraged to use the online portal or contact the Treasurer's Office directly for the fastest answers.
