Rehoboth Beach Bank Robbery Under Investigation

Sussex County, DE - On August 29, 2026, at approximately 9:50 a.m., Delaware State Police troopers responded to the WSFS Bank, located at 19335 Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for a reported bank robbery.

The preliminary investigation found that an unknown suspect walked into the bank and handed an employee a demand note. The employee complied, and the suspect ran off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was involved, and no injuries were reported. Police describe the suspect as a thin black male in his twenties.

The suspect was reportedly dressed like a female, wearing tight clothing and a wig. The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate.
