Royal Oak Woman Charged After Knife Assault on Gates Street

Talbot County, MD - On August 28, 2026, deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office responded to the 5000 block of Gates Street in Royal Oak, Maryland, for a reported assault.

Deputies learned that Tamara Skinner, 30, of Royal Oak, had caused injuries to two other occupants of the residence with a knife.

Skinner was placed under arrest at the scene. She was charged with two counts of first degree assault, three counts of second degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment and two counts of possessing a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure.

She was transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing. Skinner had an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, where she was ordered to be held without bond.

On August 31, 2026, Skinner was provided a bond review by the courts and the Honorable Judge James Charles McKinney and was ordered to be continued to be held without bond.
