Salisbury Welcomes Coretta Marshall as Deputy City Clerk
Salisbury, MD - The City of Salisbury is welcoming Coretta Marshall as its new Deputy City Clerk. Marshall brings more than 28 years of professional and military experience to the position.
Marshall is a native of the Eastern Shore. She served in the United States Army, with assignments at the Pentagon, with NATO, and in Communications Security.
During her military career, Marshall built up strong experience in administrative and human resources management. She also worked in team leadership, training, and executive administrative support.
After her military service, Marshall kept building on that experience in the private sector. That work helped sharpen her administrative and organizational skills even further.
As Deputy City Clerk, Marshall will support the City Clerk's Office in serving residents, City officials, and the community. She will act as the Records Administrator for the office.
Her duties will also include preparing ceremonial documents for the council. She will manage the invocation schedule as well.
City Clerk Julie English said she is glad to have Marshall on board. "I am excited to have Coretta as part of the team. Her experience and abilities will benefit the Clerk's Office and support the goals of the department," English said.
Marshall says she wants to bring a dependable, solutions-focused approach to the job. She takes pride in offering efficient and professional service to the public.
She is looking forward to using her experience to support the city's operations. Marshall also hopes to help the community continue to grow.
Outside of work, Marshall enjoys spending time with her family. She also likes reading and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
