Salisbury Woman Assaulted in Attempted Carjacking
Salisbury, MD - A Salisbury woman was attacked Thursday after a man tried to steal her vehicle on South Salisbury Boulevard. Police tracked him down quickly using modern surveillance technology.
Officers from the Salisbury Police Department responded to the 800 block of South Salisbury Boulevard on June 18, 2026, after reports of an attempted carjacking. When they arrived, they learned a female victim had been assaulted during a struggle with a male suspect who was trying to take her car.
After the brief struggle, the suspect ran from the scene on foot.
Officers didn't have to look far. Using the Salisbury Police Department's Flock Safety System, they were able to locate a male matching the description given by the victim.
That individual was identified as Jeremy Dorman. He was arrested and charged with Carjacking, Motor Vehicle Theft, Assault 2nd Degree, and Reckless Endangerment. Dorman was processed and released to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
The Flock Safety System is a license plate reader and camera network used by law enforcement to help identify and locate suspects quickly. It has become a key tool for local police departments across the country.
