Seaford Welfare Check Leads to Drug Charges
Seaford, DE - On August 12, 2026, at approximately 1:58 p.m., a Seaford Police Department officer responded to the Seaford Village Shopping Center for a welfare check. Someone had reported an individual who appeared to be nodding off while getting into a vehicle.
The officer located the individual and made contact with three subjects inside the vehicle. As they exited, the officer observed suspected drugs in plain view.
All three were detained while the vehicle was searched. The search turned up approximately 2.16 grams of suspected heroin and 1 gram of suspected crack cocaine.
Angela Tribbett was charged with Possess Consume a Controlled Substance Tier 2, a Felony E. She was arraigned at the Justice of the Peace Court and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
Another individual was also arrested and issued a summons for misdemeanor possession.
