State Police Searching For Wicomico County Man Wanted in Federalsburg Assault

Caroline County, MD - Maryland State Police are asking the community for help finding a Wicomico County man, who is wanted in connection with a reported assault in Caroline County.

Police are looking for Kenneth James Swift Jr., 27. He has an active arrest warrant for first-degree assault and related sexual offenses.

On August 24, 2026, the incident reportedly happened in the 100-block of Riverwalk Terrace in Federalsburg, MD. Investigators learned that Swift allegedly assaulted a woman, both physically and sexually.

Investigators say Swift then fled the area.

The warrant for Swift was issued that same day, August 24, 2026. It came through the Caroline County District Court Commissioner.

Police say the warrant is still open. Swift has not been taken into custody and police are asking for your help locating him.

The Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, Eastern Region is leading the investigation.
