Structure Fire Damages Chester Burger King, No Injuries Reported
Queen Anne's County, MD - A fire broke out early Wednesday morning at the Burger King located at 70 Kent Town Market in Chester, Maryland. The call came in around 7:23 a.m. after the manager discovered the fire and contacted 911.
The blaze started on the exterior of the one-story commercial building. Fire crews from the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department responded and had the fire under control within 10 minutes.
A total of 31 firefighters responded to the single-alarm fire. Damage is estimated at $40,000 to the structure and $5,000 to its contents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
