Talbot County, MD - The Talbot County Sheriff's Office made four warrant arrests over a two week span in May 2026, with charges ranging from drug possession to threats of arson.

The first arrest came on May 8, when deputies took Joseph Henry Bridge, 45, of Easton into custody. The District Court for Talbot County had issued a warrant on April 29, 2026 charging Bridge with possession of a controlled substance, paraphernalia, illegal possession of ammunition, and common nuisance. Bridge was transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility and held pending further court action.

One day later, on May 9, deputies arrested Steven John Burrell, 60, of St. Michaels. A warrant had been issued just the day before, on May 8, charging Burrell with threat of arson and intoxicated endangerment. Burrell was also processed at the Talbot County Central Booking facility but was released on his personal recognizance.

Two more arrests followed on May 13. Deputies arrested La'Taisha Omira Jackson, 20, of Cambridge on a warrant issued by the District Court for Anne Arundel County. The warrant charged Jackson with failing to appear for a scheduled court hearing on an original charge of driving while suspended. Jackson was transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility and held pending further court action.

Also on May 13, deputies arrested Hansi James Ruiz-Tovar, 19, of Easton. The District Court for Talbot County had issued a warrant on May 6 charging Ruiz-Tovar with failing to appear for a scheduled court hearing on an original charge of traffic offenses. Ruiz-Tovar was likewise transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility and held pending further court action.

All four individuals were processed at the Talbot County Central Booking facility and each made an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner following their arrests.
