Talbot County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges

Talbot County, MD - On August 29, 2026, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle on Black Dog Alley for a moving violation. The driver was identified as Grant Victor Trumpe, 39, of Ridgely, Maryland.

Deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle. A Talbot County Sheriff's Office K-9 team assisted with the search.

During the search, deputies found a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Trumpe was charged on a criminal citation with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Trumpe was released after signing a promise to appear for his court hearing.
