Teen Arrested After Armed Robbery at Milton Apartment Complex
Milton, DE - A 17-year-old male is facing serious charges after police say he pulled out a handgun and demanded money from another young person at a Milton apartment complex.
The incident happened on May 2, 2026, at around 12:00 p.m. Officers from the Milton Police Department responded to the Park Royal Apartments after receiving a report of an armed robbery.
According to investigators, the teenage suspect approached another juvenile male, brandished a handgun, and demanded $500. Once he received the money, the suspect took off on foot and left the scene.
Law enforcement moved quickly to track him down. The Milton Police Department worked alongside the Delaware State Police and the Dewey Beach Police Department K9 unit to search the area.
Their efforts paid off in a short amount of time. Officers located the suspect at a nearby residence and took him into custody without further incident.
The juvenile's identity is being withheld due to his age. He was arrested and formally charged with multiple offenses related to the robbery and his alleged possession of a firearm.
The charges he now faces include Robbery in the First Degree, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon. He was also charged with Aggravated Menacing, Possession of a Firearm by Persons under 21, and Possession of Ammunition for a Firearm by Persons under 21. An additional charge of Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine was also filed against him.
Following his arrest, the suspect was processed and brought before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 for arraignment. The court committed him to the Stevenson House Detention Center on a $48,501 cash bond.
