Three Cambridge Residents Arrested After Drug Bust on Federalsburg Highway
Caroline County, MD - A routine traffic stop in Caroline County turned into a drug bust last week when deputies found cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana inside a minivan and arrested all three people inside.
The stop happened on May 29, 2026, around 3:08 p.m. on Federalsburg Highway. A Caroline County Sheriff's deputy pulled over a white minivan for speeding.
When the deputy walked up to the vehicle, he smelled marijuana coming from inside. The driver, Tevin Jamr Ennels, 34, of Cambridge, Maryland, could not produce a driver's license. A records check showed his driving privileges were suspended.
Deputies asked all three people in the vehicle to step out. The two passengers were identified as Devon Alexander Jones, 38, and Marqui Tyrell Farrow, 38, both of Cambridge, Maryland.
A K-9 unit scanned the vehicle and alerted to the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. Deputies then conducted a probable cause search of the minivan. During the search, they found cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, packaging materials, and a digital scale.
According to the sheriff's office, the amount of drugs and the materials found were consistent with drug distribution.
Searches of the two passengers turned up large amounts of cash. Jones had more than $4,000 on him, and Farrow had more than $3,800. The sheriff's office said the denominations of the cash were consistent with narcotics sales. All of the currency was seized pending civil forfeiture proceedings.
All three men were arrested and taken to the Caroline County Sheriff's Office for processing.
Jones faces the most serious charges. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, fentanyl, and cannabis, along with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was held without bond after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
Farrow and Ennels were each charged with possession with intent to distribute cannabis and possession of cannabis in an amount exceeding civil limits. Both were released on their own recognizance.
The Caroline County Sheriff's Office said this arrest is part of its ongoing effort to reduce drug distribution in the county.
