Virginia Man Arrested Following Property Damage at Easton Hotel
Talbot County, MD - On March 16, 2026, at approximately 2:55 a.m., officers from the Easton Police Department responded to the Best Western Plus located at 8708 Alicia Drive. The response was prompted by a hotel employee reporting a disturbance by an unwanted subject.
The employee reported that a male guest, identified as 37-year-old Brady N. Pearce of Fredericksburg, Virginia, had been causing ongoing issues. Pearce had been a guest at the hotel since March 13, 2026.
The employee stated that Pearce was heard screaming and damaging items in his room each night. At approximately 2:30 a.m. on March 16, neighboring guests contacted the front desk regarding the noise. The hotel management subsequently requested that Pearce be removed from the property.
Officers proceeded to the room and knocked multiple times. After several minutes, the door was opened by Pearce. Officers noted a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and person. Pearce appeared confused by the law enforcement presence.
He was informed that the hotel was issuing a trespass notice and that he was required to vacate the premises. Pearce acknowledged the request and began packing his belongings.
While in the room, officers observed significant property damage and disarray. Trash and various items were scattered across the floor. A room telephone was destroyed, and a smoke detector was removed from the ceiling and broken in half.
Additionally, the refrigerator door was dented, and the television was damaged. Officers also noted scrapes on Pearce's hands and a bruise on his head.
After collecting his items, Pearce relocated to the downstairs lobby. Officers prepared a criminal citation for Malicious Destruction of Property under $1,000. Pearce refused to sign the citation. Consequently, he was placed under arrest and transferred to the Talbot County Detention Center.
