Wanted Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested in Princess Anne

Somerset County, MD - On September 4, 2026 at approximately 6:50 p.m., a Princess Anne Police officer conducted a traffic stop on Somerset Avenue near UMES Boulevard for a traffic violation.

During the stop, the officer identified one of the occupants as Tazmeir Townsend, 21. Townsend was wanted by the Crisfield Police Department on an active warrant for attempted murder and other related charges.

Townsend was taken into custody without incident. He appeared before a District Court Commissioner and was committed to the Somerset County Detention Center on a no bond hold.
