Wicomico County Ends Mosquito Spraying for 2026

Wicomico County, MD - Wicomico County has wrapped up its spraying for adult mosquitoes for the year. The spraying came to an end on October 2, 2026.

The county did not get any reports of people testing positive for a disease that can be spread by mosquitoes this season.

Communities that took part in the program this year will get a bill for the season. The county will work out the costs and send the bills to the County Finance Office by November 30, 2026. Community contacts should get those bills before the end of the year.

Contracts for the 2027 season will be sent out in February 2027 to communities that took part in 2026. Communities that did not take part this year can still learn how to join.
