Woman Airlifted After Fall From Dewey Beach Balcony
Dewey Beach, DE - On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Dewey Beach Police Department and Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company responded to Van Dyke Avenue for a report of someone injured in a fall.
When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old woman from Montgomery Village, Maryland. She had fallen from a third-story balcony.
Dewey Beach Police officers and Rehoboth Beach EMS crews gave her emergency care at the scene. She was then transported by a Delaware State Police helicopter.
The woman was flown to Christiana Medical Center, where she is currently being treated for her injuries.
The Dewey Beach Police Department is now investigating what led to the fall.
