What is the Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk-A-Thon?
This is the first-ever Walk-A-Thon on the Eastern Shore celebrating individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
It's a community-wide event designed to bring together families, friends, advocates, and supporters to promote inclusion, awareness, and acceptance.
Who can participate?
Everyone is welcome! Whether you're part of the Down syndrome community or simply passionate about supporting individuals with different abilities, this event is open to all ages and abilities.
What activities can I expect
Get ready for a fun and meaningful day filled with:
-Superhero face painting and costumed characters
-Games and prizes for all ages
-Remembrance section honoring loved ones with Down syndrome
-Local resource booths offering information and support
-Advocacy pledges where you can declare your commitment to inclusion
What is the goal of the event?
We're raising $10,021 to support DSAmd's programs and outreach on the Eastern Shore.
Every dollar helps us continue to provide essential support, education, and advocacy for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
