Begin your journey toward communicating in American Sign Language (ASL) with an in-person Level 1 course at DILA.
Classes will be held March 2, 2027, through April 1, 2027, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
This five-week course is taught by a Deaf instructor and is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of ASL.
This is a pass/fail certificate course and does not provide academic credit. The textbook used for Level 1 will also be used for Level 2, making it easy for students who wish to continue their ASL education.
Enrollment is limited to 20 participants, and students must be 13 years of age or older. A completed registration form and payment are required to secure your place in the class.
