Join the Art League of Ocean City on Friday, June 5, 2026, for the First Friday Opening Reception and the exciting kickoff of Clay-a-palooza from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Meet local and regional artists, enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beverages provided by PKS Investments, and explore an incredible variety of new exhibits throughout the galleries and outdoor spaces.
Featured exhibitions include "What Gathers" by Matthew Meinhardt in the Thaler Gallery, "Ride, Glide, Cast: A Coastal State of Mind" in the Sisson Galleria, and multiple showcases by the Clay Guild of the Eastern Shore across Studio E, the Schwab Spotlight Gallery, Felber Artisan Showcase, Sandy & Palmer Gillis Courtyard, and Outdoor Sculpture Garden.
Visitors can also enjoy offsite exhibits featuring Jim Halvorsen at Princess Royale and Carly Whittington at Coffee Beanery. As part of the Clay-a-palooza celebration, guests can experience live demonstrations and artist talks from 6:30 PM- 7:30 PM.
You can "Try the Wheel hands-on experience" Downstairs Classroom from 5-7 PM.There will be a Pottery Market featuring local clay artists, Pottery Pong for $1 for 3 chances to win handmade pottery.
Plus, meet members of the Clay Guild of the Eastern Shore and experience clay in action.This family-friendly event is free and open to the public, with extended hours and plenty of opportunities to experience clay in action.
