Step back in time and explore the wonders of Ancient Egypt at the Art League of Ocean City's Visual Arts Summer Camp, taking place August 3-6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

Designed for children ages 6-13, this engaging camp is led by instructor Barbara Miller and offers a creative journey into the art, culture, symbols, and stories of one of history's most fascinating civilizations.

Campers will create both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks using a variety of artistic mediums while learning about the rich heritage of Ancient Egypt.

Throughout the week, participants will collaborate with the Theater Camp by helping design and create sets and props, giving them the opportunity to see their artistic creations come to life on stage.

Campers will also take part in daily plein air painting sessions and create artwork to be entered into the Kids Paint OC program.

Each day includes guided art instruction, a lunch and recess break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and continued hands-on creative exploration in the afternoon.

The camp concludes on Thursday with a special student art show where campers can proudly display their work for family and friends.

Participants will also attend the Theater Camp's final production, where many of the sets, props, and artistic contributions created during the week will be featured.

The cost is $150 for Art League members and $180 for non-members.
