The Ocean City Police Department invites you to participate in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Northside Park's West Lagoon Field.

This annual community event focuses on fostering partnerships between the public and first responders while promoting public safety awareness. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with first responder agencies, enjoy live demonstrations, and participate in engaging activities suitable for all ages.

Participating Agencies and Partners:

  • Ocean City Police Department, Fire Department, Fire Marshal's Office, Emergency Services, Beach Patrol, Forensic Services Unit, Mounted and K-9 Units, and Quick Response Team
  • Worcester County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police, U.S. Coast Guard, and Maryland National Guard Counterdrug Program
  • Community partners including Ocean City Tourism, Atlantic General Hospital, Maryland Department of Transportation, Worcester County Health Department, and Worcester County Child Advocacy Center

Activities and Highlights:

  • Meet and Interact: Connect with first responders and explore career opportunities in law enforcement.
  • Live Demonstrations: Observe specialized units, including bomb squad, drones, mounted units, and K-9 units.
  • Family-Friendly Games: Participate in tug of war, cornhole, and other fun challenges with friends, family, and first responders.
  • Vehicle Tours: Step inside an ambulance, fire truck, or police command truck.
  • Fundraising Event: Dunk Officer Gable in the dunk tank! Try three throws for $2 to support the Ocean City Police Morale Committee.
  • Sweet Treats: Enjoy Kona Ice during the event.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and invite friends and family for an informative and enjoyable evening. The event also includes opportunities to sign up for the Citizens Police Academy or CERT training.
