SUPPORT FOR LORENZO AND BRANTLEY'S MEDICAL JOURNEY

On February 18, 2026, Lorenzo Burton was born prematurely, weighing 1 pound and 2 ounces. The premature delivery was precipitated by eclamptic seizures and placental abruption. Lorenzo has required high-level ventilation for nearly two weeks. He was listed in critical condition on Friday.

A medical procedure to close a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), a hole in the heart, is currently pending. A cardiologist will determine the timing of the procedure based on the infant's stability.

Concurrently, eight-year-old Brantley requires medical intervention. Rapidly growing lesions were identified on the child. A general surgery consultation is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. Both children will receive medical care at the same hospital facility.

The family resides two hours away from the medical center. The mother is currently two weeks post-partum following eclampsia and is unable to maintain employment at this time.

Financial assistance is being requested to help offset the costs of travel, medical bills, and daily living expenses.
