18-Year-Old Easton Resident Charged Following Dover Road Disturbance

Easton, MD - On March 25, 2026, officers were dispatched to a reported disturbance at 653 Dover Road, near the #300 building in Easton, Maryland.

Upon arrival, law enforcement observed an individual screaming in the parking lot. The subject was later identified as 18-year-old De'Wanye L. Cephas of Easton.

Cephas was heard making statements regarding an assault and an arrest. Because of the assault reference, officers directed their attention to him to investigate. He was issued lawful orders but failed to comply.

Officers subsequently attempted to detain Cephas, but he resisted the application of handcuffs. After being given time to comply with the orders, Cephas was assisted to the ground and successfully taken into custody.

Following the incident, Cephas was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center. He was formally charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failure to obey a lawful order, and obstructing and hindering an investigation.
