48th Annual J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clam Bake

Crisfield, MD - The Crisfield Chamber of Commerce has announced the 48th Annual J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clam Bake. The event will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM at Somers Cove Marina, located at 715 Broadway Avenue.
The event, which began in 1976, is named for J. Millard Tawes, a Crisfield native and the 54th Governor of Maryland. It has become a significant political and cultural event, attracting residents and officials from across the state to celebrate the Chesapeake Bay's seafood.
Attendees will be offered an all-you-can-eat menu that includes steamed Maryland Blue crabs, steamed and fried clams, raw clams, fried fish, french fries, onion rings, corn, and watermelon. Unlimited beer and soft drinks will also be available.
The event provides an opportunity for social gathering and interaction with political figures and community leaders.
General Admission tickets are available for $75.00, which includes access to self-serve food and picnic table seating under a pavilion. A VIP "Crab Trap" option is available for $110.00, providing table seating with servers under a large tent. Corporate-sponsored tents will also be present.
