Family Loses Home in Wicomico County Fire

Salisbury, Maryland - On Monday, October 13, 2025, a structure fire was reported in Wicomico County, Maryland.

At approximately 5:33 PM, the Salisbury Fire Department was dispatched to the 6400 block of Oxbridge Drive for a fire at a two-story, single-family home. Over 50 firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire, which was discovered by the occupants of the residence.

The fire originated in the interior of the attached garage. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control within two hours.

One adult was treated for smoke inhalation. The home's smoke alarms were present and activated during the incident.

The fire resulted in an estimated loss of $200,000 to the structure and $200,000 to its contents. Five occupants have been displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
