Onley, VA - On February 28, 2024, the Accomack County Sheriff's Office received a call about a person who had been shot. An officer from the Onley Police Department responded and located a vehicle with bullet holes in the 24000 block of Coastal Blvd., in Tasley, Virginia. 

Inside the vehicle, they discovered a male victim with gunshot wounds consistent with a shooting. 

Deputies of the Accomack County Sheriff's Office processed the scene. The wounded male was airlifted by Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 4 to Tidal Health Peninsula Regional, then transferred to the University of Maryland Medical Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The investigation was a collective effort that involved multiple entities. The Accomack County Sheriff's Office joined forces with the Onley Police Department, Virginia State Police, Onancock Volunteer Fire Department, Accomack County Department of Public Safety, and Maryland State Police Trooper 4.
