Agencies Searching for Missing Swimmer at Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Beach, DE - A coordinated multi-agency search is currently underway for a swimmer reported missing in the ocean off Rehoboth Beach.  


On Saturday, July 12, 2025, at approximately 7:38 PM, officers from the Rehoboth Beach Police Department responded to a report of a missing swimmer near the beach off Olive Avenue. The individual was last seen in the ocean surf before concerns were raised about their disappearance.  


The search effort involves collaboration between the Rehoboth Beach Police Department, the United States Coast Guard, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company (RBVFC), and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit.  


The missing individual has been described as a Black male in his twenties, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing between 160 and 170 pounds.
