Annual Turkey Trek 5K To Take Place At Pemberton Historical Park On Thanksgiving Morning

Salisbury, MD - The annual Turkey Trek 5K will take place at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27. The race offers participants a chance to run before their holiday meals.

The event, which winds through the park's forests, meadows, and wetlands, will feature refreshments and holiday pie at the finish line. All runners will have chip timing, and awards will be given to the overall male and female winners, as well as age group winners and for the best Thanksgiving costume.

Proceeds from the Turkey Trek 5K will support the Pemberton Nature Camp and other environmental education programs. The funds help provide outdoor learning opportunities for local youth.

Check-in for the race starts at 7 a.m., followed by a warm-up session provided by Driven Physiotherapy. The race is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Preregistration is available until Friday, November 14, at 5 p.m. Race-day registration will be open from 7-7:45 a.m. and will accept card payments only.
