Somerset County, MD — Anthony Diprima, age 42, of Deal Island, Maryland, has been arrested and charged with multiple sex offenses, including sexual abuse of a minor in Somerset County, Maryland.

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division recently initiated an investigation into Anthony DiPrima’s involvement in sexually abusing a minor.

As a result of the investigation, Somerset County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Diprima and charged him with the following:

• 3^rd Degree Sex Offense


• 4^th Degree Sex Offense-Sexual Contact


• Sex Abuse of a Minor


• Neglect of a Minor


• 2^nd Degree Child Abuse-Member of a Household


• Unnatural or Perverted Practices


• Reckless Endangerment

Diprima was seen by a District Court Commissioner and transported to Somerset County Detention Center, where he was held Without Bond pending a bond review.

On June 15, 2023, DiPrima was provided with a bond review by Somerset County District Court Judge Paula Price, who held Diprima without any bond. Diprima will next appear in court on July 13, 2023, where he will have his preliminary hearing.

Detectives are currently exploring the potential that there may be other victims involved in this case. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
