Arrest Made after Methamphetamine Found Following Traffic Stop in Seaford
Seaford, DE - On Sunday, March 8, 2026, at approximately 9:49 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted by a Seaford police officer on Norman Eskridge Highway. The stop was initiated after a black Toyota was observed traveling with a fictitious registration plate.
Contact was made with the operator of the vehicle, identified as Harold Coleman. During the investigation, it was determined that Coleman was driving with a suspended license and was aware of the fictitious registration.
A local tow company was subsequently contacted to remove the vehicle from the scene.
A search of Coleman and the vehicle was conducted by officers. During the search, approximately 11.2 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located.
Coleman was arrested and charged with multiple offenses. The charges include possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity (Felony C), possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity (Felony E), and two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Additional violations include driving while suspended, failure to have required insurance, failure to have a registration card, and displaying a fictitious registration.
Following his arrest, Coleman was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 11. He was issued an unsecured bond in the amount of $16,000.
