Queen Anne's County, MD - On January 20, deputies responded to a residence in Queenstown following a report of a stolen vehicle. The caller informed authorities that the vehicle belonged to a family member and had been stolen days earlier in Easton, Maryland.

Upon arrival, DFC Doyle conducted a registration check which confirmed the vehicle's stolen status. He then spoke with the homeowner, who stated she did not know how the vehicle arrived on her property or who had driven it there.

The owner of the vehicle arrived on the scene and provided deputies with a spare key. As deputies searched the vehicle for evidence, a neighbor alerted them to an individual climbing out of a window at the residence. Deputies located the individual, identified as 25-year-old Jaden Taylor of Annapolis, standing near an open window. Taylor claimed he was looking for dropped medication.

DFC Doyle recognized Taylor as a suspect wanted in connection with a separate motor vehicle theft case from December 2025 in Queenstown. Dispatch confirmed Taylor's identity and an active warrant for his arrest. He was subsequently taken into custody.

During a search incident to the arrest, deputies discovered multiple controlled dangerous substances and paraphernalia. Taylor was charged with fourth-degree burglary, three counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances (not cannabis), and possession of paraphernalia.

He was also served with the warrant for the prior theft, which includes charges of theft between $25,000 and $100,000, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, and rogue and vagabond. The investigation into the January stolen vehicle incident remains ongoing.
