ARREST MADE IN MILFORD STOLEN VEHICLE CASE

Milford, DE - On May 20, 2025, the Milford Police Department responded to an incident involving a stolen motor vehicle and an attempted vehicle theft at Milford Movies 9, located on N DuPont Blvd, in Milford, Delaware.
Officials reported that the perpetrators set fire to one of the stolen vehicles. This arson case is now being investigated by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
Investigators successfully identified one suspect as Douglas Moore, an 18-year-old from Harrington, DE.
The identity of the second suspect is still unknown. On May 22, 2025, detectives arrested Moore without any further incident.
Moore faces several charges, including:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)
- Attempted Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)
- Conspiracy in the Second Degree (Felony)
- Criminal Mischief with damages between $1,000 and $5,000
Despite the investigators' requests for secured bail, Moore was released on a $7,000 unsecured bail by the Justice of the Peace Court 2. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date.
