Arrests Made in November 4 Homicide Investigation

KENT COUNTY, MD - The Kent County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrests of two men in connection with the murder of Jermaine Miles. Charles Alsup III of Chestertown, Maryland, and Tavon Bordley of Ridgely, Maryland, are now in custody following an investigation into the incident.

On November 4, 2025, deputies were dispatched to Lover's Lane near Quaker Neck Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Mr. Miles deceased inside a vehicle.

He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division took over the case and subsequently identified Alsup III and Bordley as suspects.

A Kent County Grand Jury indicted both men on December 8, 2025. The charges include First Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, and Conspiracy to Commit Second Degree Murder.

Additional charges listed in the indictment include Armed Robbery, Robbery, and multiple counts of Conspiracy related to these offenses. Both men are also charged with Firearm Use in a Felony, Firearm Use in a Violent Crime, Assault First Degree, and Conspiracy to Commit Assault First Degree.

Authorities located and arrested Charles Alsup III in Smyrna, Delaware, on December 10, 2025. On the same day, Tavon Bordley was arrested in Chestertown, Maryland. Both suspects are currently being held without bond.

Several agencies assisted the Kent County Sheriff's Office in this investigation. These include the Kent County State's Attorney's Office, Chestertown Police Department, Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police, Delaware State Police, and the US Marshals Service.
