Arrests Made in Rehoboth Beach Road Rage Incident that left 62-year old man with Life-Threatening Injuries

Rehoboth Beach, DE - The Rehoboth Beach Police Department has made three arrests in connection with a road rage incident that escalated into a physical assault on the night of June 20, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 11:05 p.m. near the traffic circle on Rehoboth Avenue.


Upon arrival, officers discovered a 62-year-old male victim who had sustained injuries during the altercation. The individual was transported to a hospital via medevac with life-threatening injuries but has since been released.


A preliminary investigation revealed that the assault stemmed from a confrontation related to road rage. Authorities were able to identify the vehicle and the involved occupants through their inquiries, leading to the arrest of Robert Octavio, 50, Santino White, 21, and a 16-year-old juvenile suspect, all residents of New Castle, Delaware.


The following charges have been filed:


  • Robert Octavio has been charged with Disorderly Conduct and Conspiracy in the 2nd Degree. He was transported to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution and held on a $2,500 bond.
  • Santino White is facing charges of Disorderly Conduct, Conspiracy in the 2nd Degree (felony), and Assault in the 1st Degree (felony). He is currently held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $62,000 bond.
  • The Juvenile Suspect, age 16, has been charged with Disorderly Conduct, Conspiracy in the 2nd Degree (felony), and Assault in the 1st Degree (felony). The juvenile was moved to the Ferris School for Boys with a bond set at $25,100.
