Assault Incident Reported on Foxtail Drive

Cambridge, MD - On August 5, 2025, at approximately 11:54 p.m., officers and detectives from the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to a disturbance on the 700 block of Foxtail Drive in Cambridge, Maryland.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers observed an individual with a bloody mouth. It was reported that Vicki Lynn Wongus, a 60-year-old resident of Cambridge, Maryland, had allegedly assaulted another individual in an attempt to prevent them from leaving the location.

While at the scene, officers also observed a shotgun.

Wongus was subsequently taken into custody and transported to Cambridge Police Department for processing.

Following her processing, she was released on personal recognizance. She has been charged with the following offenses:

• Assault in the Second Degree  
• False Imprisonment  
• Prohibited Possession of a Shotgun
