Baltimore Teen Extradited to Easton for 2024 Liquor Store Theft
Easton, MD - On January 8, 2026, detectives from the Easton Police Department extradited Jennifer Velcu, 19, of Baltimore, Maryland. Velcu was transported from Orange, Virginia, on an outstanding arrest warrant.
She has been charged with Second and Fourth Degree Burglary, Theft between $1,500 and $25,000, Theft Scheme, and Conspiracy. Following the extradition, she was remanded to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center.
The arrest stems from a theft investigation initiated on October 9, 2024. Officers responded to Wishing Well Liquors in Easton regarding a theft complaint. The investigation determined that the incident occurred on the previous day, October 8.
According to police reports, three suspects-two females and one male-entered the business.
While employees were distracted, one female suspect entered the manager's office and removed a large amount of currency. Through subsequent investigation, Velcu was identified as one of the individuals responsible for distracting the employees during the theft.
