Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested at Seaford Motel

Seaford, DE - The Seaford Police Department arrested suspected bank robber, Donald Gross, this morning, October 24, 2025, following a tip from community members. Gross was wanted on multiple bank robberies in Maryland and Delaware.

The arrest took place at the Sunrise Motel in Seaford, Delaware, with assistance from federal law enforcement agencies. Observant residents spotted Gross and a female companion exiting a vehicle and entering a nearby property.

They immediately contacted police to report the sighting. Officers quickly surrounded the location while members of the U.S. Marshal's Service confirmed Gross was present at the scene. U.S. Marshal's personnel entered the property and took both individuals into custody without incident.

Both suspects were transported to the Seaford Police Department for processing. The FBI Violent Crime Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations responded to assist with the ongoing investigation. Delaware State Police aviation also provided support during the operation.

Gross currently faces multiple charges including Robbery 1st Degree (Felony B), Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony G), Terroristic Threatening (Misdemeanor A), and Menacing (Misdemeanor).

At the time of this posting, it is uncertain if the female was charged.

Additional charges and bail information on Gross will be released as the investigation continues. The Seaford Police Department expressed gratitude to community members whose vigilance led to the successful arrest. The department also thanked federal partners for their assistance in the investigation.
